T1 Personal Income Tax Returns in Winnipeg

Accurate T1 returns. Maximum refund. No stress. Let us handle your personal taxes so you don’t have to.

What we do

We take the stress out of tax season

Filing your personal tax return doesn’t have to be complicated. At Currie Accounting, we prepare accurate T1 personal tax returns for Winnipeg residents. Whether you’re an employee, self-employed, a student, a retiree, or anywhere in between.

We take the time to understand your situation, claim every credit and deduction you’re entitled to, and make sure your return is filed correctly and on time. Most importantly, we treat you like a person, not a file number.

Did you know?

Most individuals should file a tax return every year — even if they had no income.

Filing ensures you receive GST/HST credits, climate incentives, and other benefits you’re entitled to.

The personal tax filing deadline is April 30. Self-employed individuals have until June 15.

Late filing penalties are 5% of taxes owing plus 1% per month — always file on time even if you can’t pay.

Common Questions

Personal Tax FAQs

Do I need to file a tax return if I didn’t make any money?
Yes, in many cases you should. Filing ensures you receive benefits such as GST/HST credits, climate incentives, and other income-tested benefits you may be entitled to.
When is the personal tax filing deadline?
The filing deadline for most individuals is April 30. If you are self-employed, you have until June 15 to file — but any taxes owing are still due April 30 to avoid interest charges.
How quickly does my return get done?
We ask that you allow 3–5 business days from the time we receive all your documents.
Can I drop off my documents instead of sending them?
Absolutely! If you prefer paper copies, give us a call at (204) 231-0947 and arrange an appointment — we’ll be happy to assist you.
What happens if I file late?
If you file late and owe taxes, the penalty is 5% of the balance owing, plus 1% for each full month your return is late, up to 12 months. Interest also applies to unpaid amounts. Always file on time even if you can’t pay the full amount.
How do I pay for my return?
We accept e-Transfer, Cash, Cheques, Interac, Visa and MasterCard. Just email your information to tax@currieaccounting.com and specify how you will be paying. E-Transfers should be sent to lionel@currieaccounting.com.
