Charleen McCarthy
Charleen is a Certified Professional Bookkeeper who started her accounting career 13 years ago in the basement of a one person firm. She’s been with Currie Accounting for 4 years and now manages our small team, helping clients with everything from quick questions to problem solving, and making sure things are taken care of.
Clients know Charleen as reliable and approachable, always ready to help find a solution. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family and friends and has recently taken up golf. Fun fact: she skipped a grade when she was younger.
Baljeet Singh Panesar
Baljeet holds a Master of Commerce and studied accounting in India before serving as a bank manager there. He’s been with Currie Accounting for a year, helping clients with bookkeeping, payroll, remittances, and corporate tax.
Known around the office as friendly and humble, Baljeet enjoys helping people do the right things and do them right. Outside of work he likes listening to music and watching cricket.
Merissa Wrublowsky
Merissa has an Applied Accounting Certificate and is working toward her Payroll Compliance designation. Before joining Currie, she worked in property management administration and spent years in restaurants and school cafeteria management before finding her way back to bookkeeping and payroll, work she genuinely enjoys.
Clients come to Merissa for payroll, bookkeeping, and personal income tax questions, and she’s known around the office as friendly and a little quirky. Outside of work she enjoys horseback riding and reading.
Maria Jose Valencia
Maria has a Business Administration Diploma with a major in Marketing and a background in creative content, including co-founding the creative studio Bravik Creative Studio. She now manages Currie Accounting’s website, social media, and marketing.
Known for being friendly and approachable, Maria enjoys the creative side of the work and finding new ways to engage clients online. Outside of work she likes reading, movies, and spending time with family. Fun fact: she started photographing weddings with no prior camera experience and learned as she went.
